1. Clint Eastwood
Clint Eastwood starred in a number of films in the 1970s as “Dirty Harry” Callahan. The eponymous film series, the first of which came out in 1971, put Eastwood on the A-list, where he’s remained for decades yet. Eastwood still makes art onscreen, acting in films he directs, including “Gran Torino,” “Million Dollar Baby,” and “Unforgiven.” The last two in the list won Academy Awards for Eastwood’s directing, among others.
