#10. Seven Years In Tibet

Nothing will get you more excited to travel than this movie.

This movie will give you the inspiration and motivation to book a flight to a destination you have always loved to visit. From a technical perspective, this is the most thoughtful travel movie ever made.

This movie is based on a true story of an Australian mountain climber (Brad Pitt as Heinrich Harrer) who was incarcerated in World war II POW camp by the British in colonial India during his attempt to climb the Himalayan.

Eventually, Harrer escapes from the camp and flees to Tibet where he meets Young Dalai. The two liked each other instantly, and Harrer becomes his teacher, confidant and cultural mentor for seven years. After the war ends, Harrer returned to Europe and wrote about his adventures in the foreign country.
